I am a Certified Sign Language Interpreter working in and around the Houston area. My interpreting experience includes but is not limited to:
* K-12 educational settings
* Graduate level courses in everything from Criminal Justice to Chemistry to Literature
* Basic doctor's appointments to complex medical situations
* Social Service settings
* Drug and alcohol rehab
* Live performances including shadow interpreting, cruise and other travel related interpreting
I have served as President on the board of GBID (Green Belt Interpreters for the Deaf) formerly known as McRID.
I am a lover of American Sign Language as well as my native language - English - and am a firm believer in the importance of perfecting both.... or at least the pursuit of perfection.
In addition to attending as many Sign Language/Interpreting functions as possible, I spend my free time reading and learning new crafts, like paper making, drawing and polymer clay sculpting. My husband and I have three fabulously wonderful and profoundly exceptional children.
